Default Need some HELP with a couple issues !

whats up everybody ! I bought my first monte today! 04 not the ss :/ had to choose between that and a really nice 86 ss! I really didnt find a 6th gen ss that i just fell in love with so i went with a the 3.4 because i just vibed with it . and was and will probably be the most reliable out of my choices which was my top priority !
ANYWAY

it has a couple of issues that If yall could answer id appreciate i know yall cant see the car and probably cant give exact estimations and thats totally cool and understandable!

the first one is the heater my side blows COLD while the other blows hot ... i read alot about the opposite where when they need it to blow cold and it blew hot and they just topped it off with coolant and it corrected the fix... but i need it to blow hot out of myside but it wont .... tried messing with all the controls to find a solution and couldnt .

second issue is my cruise control light was flashing like super fast ... im 99% sure its because of the wiring because the **** for the lights turns on the cd player LOL BUT on the off chance its not and one of you fine people had the same problem please let me know !

third issue i was wondering where your thermo gauge usually sat because the cars im used to where about a 1/4 of the way up and the gauge sits about a half or a tad more ...

I appreciate any and all responses! going to upload pics when its stops pouring! bless!

i have an 02 ls. my temp sits at about right between the 1/4 and 1/2 mark if you know what i mean and in the winter it sits at about the 1/4 mark all the time.
and thats not in traffic in the city. most of my driving is done on the open highway.
in the summer in traffic its not unusal for it to be right in the middle or a little over

Stock thermostat is a 195, so halfway is normal.

Have you completely flushed the coolant? The heater core might be clogging, an actuator for the driver's side might be going.

I don't know about the cruise control...

lol, right on. i'm having the last two issues and trying to figure it out as well, but as well as you money is short. no check engine light but the engine is running WAY cold according to the gauge. i been told the thermostat may be stuck open so i'm going to change that asap and hopefully that fixes that.

the cruise control, not sure. i noticed it only when i got my remote start alarm, but realized that that is somehow connected to the ac/heater cause sometimes the heater/ac wont work and neither will the cruise

Is it an aftermarket stereo? If so, I'm wondering if they didn't properly source power for it. You may want to temporarily disconnect it and see if your electrical gremlins go away. If you have heat on the passenger side but not the driver side then (as Mike pointed out) you may have an actuator that is malfunctioning.

I'm gonna have to do some research on the actuator thing as I don't know much about them .... But yea it's pretty messed up I took the first after market one out and replaced it and it was a mess even taking it out there's like 4 different wires going to one . One of which is the source ... It's a mess but I finally got the newer one in after a couple of hours of messing with the wires and what not ... I'm just going to live with it until I get a DVD player and the screens fixed ...

Check the radio wiring for sure, does you car chime when the key is in the ignition or the lights are on?(with the key off) if not someone most likely hacked your wiring. Mine was wired up the same way and I had all sorts of electrical issues. I ended up going to a wrecking yard and getting a new pig tail for the radio and soldering it back together and buying the correct install kit with a chime module. I still have the diagrams for the radio from the GM dealer if you need them
