need advice on how 2 permanently disable the factory security system on 01 monte

i have a 2001 monte carlo im having serious issues with the security system i was wondering if anyone knew how can i disable the security system completley is there something that i can buy to do this i like my car but if i cant drive it without being stuck out what good is it to me? i know other monte owners or gm owners had this security problem too i just want a solution anyone know a website where i can get some info? this factory alarm is stupid and gm want $500 to fix it but wont garuntee that it wont happen again i need help

If your talking about the "Security" light that comes on in the message center it means that your theft-lock system isn't working. I have an '02 LS and it says that. I posted a thread about this somewhere and was told it was the theft-lock which costs alot to fix. But the ignition is in the dash so they can't steal it anyways lol (so i've been told). sorry mate

Hi TeamfBody,
The taxpayer's are now the majority owner's of
the new GM, so if you are a taxpayer, you can recall
your Monte & take money from one pocket & put it in
your other pocket. Your Choice, Your Decision.
Your are now one of the owners of GM.
