Hi everyone, I own a 2007 SS monte Carlo and I have a question. My Radio volume gets louder the faster I drive the car, like on highways, and the volume will decrease as the car slows down. Is this design to do this? Is this speed sensitive volume control on my radio or is there something wrong with the radio?

If anyone has an idea please let me know, I have never owned a car that has done this.

I would say speed volume contorll.......I will check it out for you.

 

There is an auto volume setting in the radio.You can set it for low,medium,high,or turn it off.Check your owners manual or just play around with the settings on the radio.It is easy to change.

Thank you guy's for the quick response and info. I thought I was going crazy and not tomany people believed me when i told them about this. So it is Speed Senitive. I'll have to find out how to turn it off, it driving me crazy when I'm on the highway. Does anyone know how exactly to turn it off?

 

You have to go into the radio menu to turn it off. It is listed in the owners manual, but if I remember properly you turn the radio off, push the tune button in for a few seconds and navigate with the seek arrows.

Your best bet would be to find it in the radio section of your owners manual though.
