I need your help again guys. I fixed all vac leaks no more evap codes. had it smoke tested to be sure perfect. still have horrible rough idle, and this grinding like chirping is back. usually goes away after awhile its been two days now and still here. could it be timing chain? tensioner? hard to pin down sometimes sounds like its coming from center of plenum. could it be a gasket? new belt pulleys tested good. drives down the road smooth as silk I just don't get it HELP!!!!!!!

I personally haven't been through something like that before so I couldn't tell you what's wrong or even where to begin. However I wanted to share a trick that my grandpa taught my and then my dad taught me, and who knows maybe it will help you pinpoint it. If you take a broom with a wooden handle and then cut the handle in about half. Take the half that doesn't have the broom still attached and you can put it on different areas and it will transfer the shake/noise to the end of the broom handle. It is a neat technique that can help pinpoint some things.
