This will be my 2nd summer in a row replacing an ac compressor. Any ideas on what could burn out my compressor.

 

1. if the person charging the system uses the wrong oil, too much oil, too little oil, the compressor is the only mechanical part in the system and it will fail.
2. did you replace the accumulator/dryer?
3. are you making sure there is no debris in the system from the last compressor failure?
4. did you replace the orifice tube after the compressor failure?

a/c work is a very complex division of my trade and if do improperly can lead to large expenses, a frustrated driver and a system that is not working as good as its meant to.

judging by your pics its a fourth gen mc. if its working the way its supposed to it will cool a 1500 square foot house. the old systems were way overkill no components and capacities are much smaller and less
