Interior lights go out when head lights come on, help please anybody.

 

more information may help, i'm a little confused, is this while the vehicle is running or when you unlock keylessly?

 

Maybe a safety feature, if the car is running.

I know this is going to sound really easy and you may think I'm assuming you are dumb but check your dimmer switch. You can dim your interior lights to the point that they turn off with your switch. Just turn the *** and hope that's the problem??

If not it could be the wiring for it.

 

I'd also like to add a problem that i'm having..

<y interior lights turn off after a split second when opening the doors, turning the car off or turning them on manually.. any of the normal operations you would trigger the lights on.. they come on, then promptly turn off.

any ideas??

 

Check fuses?

 

the lights DO come on, but shut off after 1 second of being on.
