interior lights wont shut off
i just got a 2002 ss, i'm in love! problem is, i can't get the interior lights to shut off while i'm driving. they shut off after i've parked the car about 30 minutes later. i've used duct tape to cover the lights thus far, but that looks so cheap in the day time. anyone got a clue about what's goin on? grey duct tape isn't gonna get a positive response from the ladies!
goofy story! i was tryin to install my amp for my subs in my car today. i disconnected my battery and when i went to reconnect it, the interior lights started working fine! just needed to reset the computer i guess. saved at least $80 on a fluke(that's what the dealership charges to do a diagnostic). if this helps anyone else, good luck
Have you recently installed an after market head unit? When I upgraded the radio in my truck, I messed up with the wiring somehow that the headlights would turn on automatically whenever I turned on the engine. And this was before the advent of Daytime Running Lights. I found that the power wire for the radio was clinging on to another wire that somehow connected a circuit that made my headlights stay on. Not sure if the dome light was affected because I had it disconnected.
Just a suggestion.
