Default I'm buzzing and I don't know why

02 Monte SS 3.8L
When turning the turn signal on, all I get is a buzzing noise. I bought a new hazard flasher and replaced the old one and the hazard lights work, but I still have a buzzing noise when I turn the turn signals to either left or right. So, while at the junkyard, I grabbed the turn signal assembly from an Impala and installed it and the same thing happens again. What am I missing?

Hmm.. usually that is one or the other of the items you've replaced. I suppose it's possible the junkyard turn signal switch was faulty too?

Do you know where the buzzing noise is actually coming from? Such as, do you hear it through the radio speakers? If it is the speakers, there is interference happening. My next question would be if you have any aftermarket stereo equipment or maybe LED turn signals. Try to chase down weird things that may have exposed wires OR additional components failing that are permitting electrical interference. Just a guess.

Well, since it buzzed like the original one I would assume both work and it's another issue relative. I"m going to chase it down today and see what I find...

I think I hear it behind the instrument cluster or underneath the steering wheel area....I'll have to check but I pulled the aftermarket radio out as soon as I bought the Monte so I don't think radio interference is the issue. I would agree with you that perhaps an exposed wire or something of that nature since some genius wired the aftermarket radio to constant hot so that it was always on. Thx
