The driver's seat moves about two inches towards the steering wheel only on the left side and not the side near the middle console. I obviously need to remove it to address that problem but can't get to the one bolt on the right side (near console) - any suggestions? The threaded "bolt" doesn't move on the right side which only allows the left side to move forward a couple of inches. I've checked for blockage (coins, et cet) but don't see anything. Appreciate the input/suggestions.
Well, after watching other people manually move their electric seat, I found the hole on the driver's side.....I think it takes a #2 square drive bit to turn it manually. And then I found the problem.....the cable (below) wasn't attached to the other side of the seat causing that side not to move when applying electric. So, I gotta figure out why it came loose and re-attach it and see if I can move the seat with electric.
I was at a salvage yard once and was getting some seats out of the Car, when I paid for them the fellow asked why I didn't get he drivers seat, I told him is was powered and the car has no power he indicted some Hispanic folks use a 9Volt battery and hood it to a pig tail on the seat connector and it will move.
So I tried that took about three 9 volts batteries to get it out. If you can't get the bolt out with a star wrench on the one I took out I used a small ratchet wrench open on one side ratchet on the other
