Default Identifying Sunroof Part - Leaking Water

Hey everyone,

So I’ve previously posted about a water infiltration issue I’ve been having with my ‘01 Monte Pace Car. It has been leaking inside for weeks and nobody could pinpoint the issue. (Water dripping through from the buttons of the overhead Homelink Console/Unit.) Kept getting usual advice from local shops that the sunroof drains probably needed clearing out. Did that, and it didn’t help. Lo and behold, I took down the front portion of the headliner just a bit to reveal the sunroof components (motor, module, etc) and there is an off-white tube that snakes through the motor area and it has a hairline crack in it and when test-pouring water into the center channel of the open sunroof to test the drains, that hose leaks water from the hairline crack. (I’ve highlighted below what I’m talking about from screenshots of a YouTube video I saw for the sunroof removal from a junkyard car.)

I don’t know much about this stuff so just curious if 1)Anyone know the purpose of that particular hose? 2) How should I stop the leak? Are there other components that would need to be replaced with that hose? Is it difficult to replace? Or should I just try to seal up the crack somehow (tape? silicone?) and leave it be? Thank you!!!

(The red highlights the hose I’m referring to, the purple is where the hairline crack is.)
