My original battery just was changed so about 7 years.

Tadd, did the car come with a block heater?

Tadd:
Heres an old school trick to prevent the block/battery from freezeing...(I learned this from my Father) We use to put a trouble light (Turned on of course) under the hood to prevent freezeing... It actually prevents the frost
from forming which contributes to freezeing...
But, I have never heard of a full charged battery freezeing in the dead of winter.

Your very welcome Tad!

Some of the places we lived as a kid didn't have a garage...
So, we naturally had to find an alternative to be able to start the car in the dead of winter so he could go to work.

The first time he told me to do it.. I thought he was going nutty...LOL
But, after I did place it under the hood and closed it... after a few short minutes... You could actually feel the heat that was being generated under the hood.
