No, the first time it got HOT it did just that it NEVER Knocked or nothing. Why? would running Hot till it knocks make it more likely to blow a gasket OR crack the block? Not sure if any parts are aluminum, Thanks Again

ok to answer your question the intake and heads on his engine are aluminum the intake gasket is a pretty hard job to takle if you dont know what you doing bu thte shop i work at it is only about a 300 dollar job
because you have to replace upper and lower intake gaskets along with both valve cover gaskets
and adjust the valvesdont ask me why but gm made it where you have to remove the pushrods to change the lower intake gasket no one of there brightest ideas i say

Thanks to all you guys. Well ITS FIXED. Had the intake gaskets replaced paid a friend of mine $350 for it and alls GOOD now. Runs like new. All of you where a great help much much THANKS and maybe I'll be talking to you all real soon for other bits of advice here and there. Not to sure but I think my MONTE may need a trans tune-up soon LOL, should be no problem tackling it myself, can't be USELESS forever LOL, You All Been Great Thank You and Till Next Time, USELESS.
