Default HELP! hub assembly won't budge!

I'm halfway through replacing a rear hub assembly on my '04 Monte, I have all four hub assembly bolts out, the manual says to remove the hub once the four bolts are out...it's not moving at all. what gives? (not the hub)

You got the large (33mm??) bolt out the center right?

Do you have a hub puller??

Maybe you could use a hammer and a block of wood. They are tough to get off.

spray it down with some penetrating oil let it set for a little bit then beat it with a hammer.

My experience with hubs is front hubs and the rear hubs of rear drum brake cars.... But if they don't come out, get an Air Hammer. Slowly work the air hammer along the sides and it will eventually pop out.

I didn't see a center nut; I think that's just on the front hub.

The parking brake assembly slides around a tiny bit, does that have to come off first?

I put everything back together but it's no longer safe to drive...bearing doesn't turn freely. I'll try the chisel then its gonna be a tow to the shop.

YYEESSSSSS!! IT's DONE!!! The chisel was magic. I also had to use a big center punch to hammer the bolt holes back and forth.

The parking brake assembly came off with the hub and i had to remove it via the two torx bolts to switch out the hubs. I used a dremel with sanding drum to clean up the corrosion in the knuckle. (is knuckle the right term?)

ABS code indicated that wheel; does the ABS light turn off on it's own or is there a way to reset it?

thanks again for the tips you guys rock!

I had one replaced in my car, 2006 Monte and it went off asap, but yours may require a couple of starts/cycles to get it to go out?
