Default Heated seat switch

My drivers heated seat switch has went out on my 02 Monte SS. I will turn it on andsometimes after about 30 minutes it will come on.I have been trying to find a new switch on ebay but i have nothing so far. So my question is where can I go to get one besides the dealer and how hard is this installation going to be?

Dealer would be the best place. and intall is not to hard or i would not think it would be. considering you would not need to tear apart the whole dash or anythign just pop out the switch part there and put the new one in about 20min.

I have doubts about the switch being bad, but it is possible. Esy check once you get the switch out, just use your ohm meter to check the resistance of the switch. Doesn't it work in either high or low? Does only one seat heat? Can you switch the switches between the seats to see if that helps? Have you stuck things under your seat?

I am pretty sure it is the switch but I could be wrong.First of the switch sometimes become somewhat hard to push (unlike how it should be if that makes sense). It anymore will not work on either hi or low. But before it reached this level it would come on after a little jiggling of the switch but it progressively just stopped. When it did work it heated up just like it should so that makes me think that it isnt the motor. That and I store nothing under the seats. I am wondering if there is a discount place to get the switch cuz i am only sure it will be expensive from the dealer. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is it both switches?
Try Ebay or your local late model used parts yard. Should be able to get one for 1/2 price or so. Also online used auto parts houses.

If your sure it's just the switch, that shouldn't be too expensive. I'd just get a new one.
Switch the wiring 1st, to make sure. You said it felt bad.

Might still be cheaper at the dealer. S+H from GMpartsdirect gets expensive. Call the dealer 1st.
