electrcal demons
Ok guys I have a 2001 ss with 108,000 miles on it, so here is the problem.
Every now and then going down the road the radio will turn off, also I will
get a (service vehicle soon,service traction sys.and battery signal) message
on the DIC. I will also loose all my gauges except the speedo and the volt
gauge will be pegged to 18(I have checked the alternator for a reading
and it reads 14)the traction off lite will come on.Car runs normal when this
happens except when I shut the car off it does not want to crank til I
disconnect the battery for a minute.Any answers will be appreciated.[:@]

BUMMER! Just a guess, but maybe the body control module, as it controls LOTS of things. Maybe the battery is bad. My recommendation, take it to a reputable GM dealer. I sold my '01 SS LE at 116,000mi. Too many demons, also. This car has been demon free so far (KNOCK ON WOOD)!
