Default got marshmallows?

I have a 1995 monte carlo that must have had a curse put on it.... ok I replaced theengine and now as soon as it warms up it shuts off sometimes it strarts right back up other times you need to wait a few minuites also it usually only runs a few mins at most b4 shutting off again it is annoying me as i would love to have the car done so i can use it thanks brian

if it's the 3.1 I would say look into your ignition modual, crank or cam sensor. The 3.1's are know for this problem. Usually is the ign modual, wich is under the coil packs.

how long ago did you have the engine put in??i know its probably just a sensor or something...but if it was recently the shops work should be warrantied

Possible clogg cat convertor.
Next time is if the convertor is getting red hot

ok i replaced the coil packs / ignition module and that fised the problem thank you i was also wondering if you knew why when i start my car the idle slowly climbs to 2500 rpm's but if i shut it off and restart it the idle will b at 1500 which is also high thanks

could be your idle air control motor, sometimes that can cause stupid stuff to happen..and they're not too much money either

yup I would go with Wizz's guess first, or maybe a vacuum leak

lol i think i have a spare one of them also but i dont know exactly where so when i find it ill try it if not ill buy one in a few days thanks

they are 100 bucks brand new, and their on the throttle body on the right hand side on the top. uses to t10 star screws to hold it in place. easy as heck to replace
