ZZP must have either sent me the wrong rear sway bar or they built one bad. In any event, they sent a new one and it fit just fine. On the LS4 the single standard dog bone is what I used and it fit perfectly. Their website says you MAY use the shorter dog bone, but they do NOT recommend it. I think there were some guys using a single shorter dog bone on some of the FB forums if they had altered tensioners or if they needed additional clearance. When my engine was stock, the standard dog bone worked fine. Of course, I got the solid motor and trans mounts since then, so now I don't have a dog bone at all! That also means I've got a spare single standard length DB for sale you see in the pic if you're interested. Good luck!

The shorter dog bones are to reduce vibration if you lower your car.

Good tip: Dont use the shorter dog bones if you have also lowered your subframe.

I am very interested in the dog bone you have!!! Let's make a deal...😏

I have 2 questions... they might be dumb, but, the only dumb questions are the ones not asked.

1st.... so the 34mm poly bushings for the front sway bar. I bought them. So what is different, the outside of the bushing or the inside? The sway bar is a direct fit but the bushings are different by 1mm. I am just trying to understand, learn. My guess is it is the outside of the bushing that is different, based on how they look. If the bars are the same, why the diff bushings?

2nd... the rear sway bar from ZZP... use the busing that come with it or do I need a different size like the front ones?

I love this thread and am gonna use some or most of what you did, but, I am trying to learn is all. Thank you for your time and information!!! I'll post pics of my monte soon.

Beautiful car!!!

OK, so you don't have to use different bushings for either sway bar. Poly bushings are stiffer. Typically that means stiffer ride. More feel to the road, + less play = better performance. Trade off for some is less give which means you'll feel road imperfections a little more. You need a bushing that is at least the diameter of your sway bar, and should be right on or maybe 1mm more. The ZZP front is 33mm, which means that the Moog 34mm is the correct fit. I like it better than rubber for the above reasons, but I also went with solid (rubber stock --> poly stiffer --> solid stiffest) motor/trans and subframe bushings. My car is not a daily driver, but I wouldn't have a problem with the feel driving it every day.

I don't know if ZZP has a poly bushing for their current 25mm rear sway bar. The one they supply is pretty good. I might have sourced a poly 25mm bushing and used that on mine. I went through a lot of mods and upgrades pretty fast so I'd have to double check.

Fire me a PM if you want to talk about a deal on the dog bone. I've got several other goodies I've upgraded that you could be interested in. I actually have the ZZP front bar and Moog 34mm bushings too up for grabs, plus the ZZP chromoly trailing arms. Anything I have I bought new and used for less than 2000 miles before I swapped it out. Hit me up!

Thanks!
