$150 for a resistor? Jeeze, I paid $90 for a whole new blower motor.
Found a resistor on ZZP, if you happen to be the handy type it might save you some green.

Thanks. Is this thing in an easy to reach place or am i better off just buying the part and letting a mechanic put it in?

Yep, out of warranty. On the net im seeing most GM cars have it under the glove box. Is this where it is for my vehicle as well?
It should be plug and play right? Can anyone give me detailed instructions on what im looking at with this process? Thanks.

Easy to change. under passenger side of dashboard close to firewall behind the blower motor(you may have to remove a plastic cover panel). 5.5mm screws hold it in the hardest part is the screw closest to the firewall. just remove blower motor so its easier to see (it can be done without removing it) and take the screws out unplug the wire harness and put the new one in.
