Default Question..my fan settings

My settings for my fan(heat,a/c) dial only works on the 3 level. The 1 and 2 don't work at all for some odd reason.Any suggestions on what it could be or how to be fixed?

Thanks for the help!!

Unfortunately, I don't have the answer. I was just getting ready to post about this same issue, in my 01 SS. It works on 3-4-5, but 1-2 don't work at all. I wasn't sure what was behind the controls, and taking the dash apart seems to be a task. Interested in what the wiser will bring to this thread.

Having the same problem 1/2 settings will not work 3,4,5 will .their is a blower motor resitor that is most likely the problem.the resitor is under the passanger side glove box. their should be a form on this site about this issue.the resitor is held on buy 3 small screws.close to the firewall.not a lot of room to work.cost around $30 dollars most auto parts have them in stock.
got to do mine mine this week. let us no if this is the problem.
