I have a 2002 Monte Carlo and if i turn the a/c to setting 1 or 2 nothing happens. It works perfectly fine on 3 and above. What has happened and how can i fix this? I dont always want the a/c or heat to be blasting at level 3.

is it 150 for this one?? dam i wish i didnt have to pay the $397.97(looked for the reciept) but that was for a contour. the thing that go bad on those cars are outstandingly expensive, and there are plenty of things that go wrong with those cars. but im still planning on getting another one in the future(SVT though) yeah i know ive downed fords plenty of times here but... there is just soooo much potential for those cars. and the engine and trans is bulletproof.
WOW, sorry i got off topic there for a min.

i did just read right that the engine and trans in a contour is bullet proof?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? 2.0L splitport is iffy but the 2.0L zetec is only good for melting down and making mustangs out of. and the trans is horrible just like the coil springs and rear brake systems on them.
you must have had the only good one on the planet. those are the worst car that ford has ever made since 1990, and that is including some colossal failures.
sorry now that was off topic.

$150 for a resistor? Jeeze, I paid $90 for a whole new blower motor.
Found a resistor on ZZP, if you happen to be the handy type it might save you some green.
