Default A few questions I have

The first one is I just replaced my gas cap this past weekend since the stock one was worn out. After replacing it I still get on my DIC "TIGHTEN GAS CAP" and then the service engine light. I've tightened and what not but still same thing (not as often). Any suggestions? Also with my keyless entry and remote start I have to be within about 5 feet of the car for it to work and I don't know how I can make that range longer I replaced the batteries and again still same issue. Thanks if you can help me out!

There's a TSB about the remote distance. A dealership should be able to fix that for you.

As for the tighten gas cap, it takes a bunch of cycles before the code will go away, maybe disconnect your battery for like 30 minutes to clear the codes and see if it comes back. If it keeps coming back it could be an electrical issue with your car and could still be covered under an extended (emissions) warranty.

Did you get an OEM gas cap or an aftermarket one from a parts store. Often the aftermarket ones will still cause codes to come up.
