Check it out. you could use a few different things, there is this special paint called Caliper Paint, for painting brake calipers, but its rated up to like, 900 degrees F, so it works great for painting stuff under the hood as well. then there is straight up engine paint, but that crap is made for like, painting blocks. so that would work too, you just have to look around.

I'd suggest a high temp paint, although I did paint the valve cover on my Accord to match the bodycolor(graphite grey pearl) w/the aerosol touch up paint and laid a few coats of hi temp clear over it and it held up just fine.

Yeah, I just helped a buddy of mine paint his calipers, we used Caliper paint and then high temp clear coat, and believe me, they are pretty damn shiny. Once i get around to it, thats what I am going to do. the clear coat is all the difference mang.

if you look at my site i painted my 3800series 2 unde rthe hood ont eh engin cover and i used regular old fashioned model paint testers enamil to be exact. works great and i have had no issues withit comming out the cover. that cover dont see tha tmuch heat to cuse a good paint to come off. I know a few folks have used regular paint on thies then you can add the high temp clear if you would liek to but i didnt even clear mine in high temp it is testors (atcually paint by byods)

I painted mine with non-high temp paint and it's held up pretty well so far.

I used Mirage on mine, the paint that changes colors. I'll have to take a couple of pics for ya.. I think there are a couple of small shots on my gallery.
