Default Engine won't come free from bell housing!

Recently I had posted asking about supercharging my car because I was going to dive into my top swap. My plans have been to take out my engine and put it on a stand to work on it and clean everything up. I have gotten everything disconnected and unbolted from the the engine to pull it out and am so close to finally getting it out however the bell housing won't come free from the engine. I have all the bolts from the bell housing to the engine taken out, including the pain in the *** one in the back, and the torque converter is free from the flywheel. No mater what I have done the thing doesn't budge and is still connected to the engine. I've never taken an engine out before but have worked on some and it's been very frustrating trying to get this thing apart. I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and if so what do I do?
The car is a 2001 Monte Carlo SS
Thanks

What about the intermediate shaft bracket?

The trans is sitting on at least 1 dial pin. You need to pull the trans away from engine with a lot of force and it should pop off. It's not fun but will eventually pull apart. Personally I've found it easier to remove both engine and trans instead of just engine.

Also engine to diff bracket is unbolted correct?

Ahhhh, I hadn't noticed the engine to shaft bracket but that is probably why it won't budge. I had been using my engine hoist to jack it up and down to try and break it free which probably wasn't the best idea but I was getting frustrated with it. I think it caused the boot on my axle on the right side to tear open but don't see that I caused any real damage doing that. I know probably not one of my brightest moments. I will take that bracket off and hopefully they will separate. What is the best way to get them pulled apart, hammer, pushing and pulling, ....?

Yep push and pull. Also if axle boot it ripped replace the axle. If you don't all the grease in there will sling everywhere making a mess and the axle will go bad quick from no grease anyway.

If the boot ripped does that mean I have to have the whole axle replaced? I thought I could just replace the boot and put new grease in it.
