Engine Revving/Accelerating by itself

My boyfriend popped the hood and looked. He could hear a vacuum leak. There is a little silver valve that has a line running to it with a cap on the end of it. He put it back on and the problem was solved!

Close to 200K miles is Great...Wish you another 200K miles : )

Thanks Kid! Another 200K would be amazing!

My '97 has all of the controls for the stereo and cruise control on the steering wheel. I loved loved that feature! My new one doesn't have that. I wish it did. I really missed it when I first started driving my new one!

GLad it only turned out to be a vacuum leak and not something more expensive.
