No idea. Get you car scanned and find out what code is popping up. Even if the light is not active, there should be a code history of why it came on.

The blinking CEL indicates a random/multiple misfire which is what set the P0300 code. Several things can cause the misfires. Worn plugs, wires, a dirty MAF sensor or a fuel distribution problem are some common causes.

Coils rarely go bad. I would do more diagnostics before replacing coils. If a coil was to fail, you normally have one or two cylinders failing (not all random).
MAF, fuel pressure regulator, vacuum leak, ICM and a few others.

Jason is right. You coils will not all go bad at the same time. The coils in these cars don't go bad Often and if one coil set goes bad you will have a miss or no fire on 2 cylinders.
Looking from the passenger headlight into the engine compartment your firing order is;
Coil 1) Cylinders 1 & 4
Coil 2) Cylinders 2 & 5
Coil 3) Cylinders 3 & 6
Each coil fires both cylinders at the same time, for a more complete burn.
So if you have A bad Coil you will have a Miss or No fire on Both Cylinders associated with that coil.
When my Coil 2 went, I took the car to Pepboy's and they did a check with there BIG Expensive Diagnostic Computer. They were able got get the computer which cylinders were misfiring, 2 & 5 for me.
Although VERY VERY Very rare, if you are having a misfire on all cylinders, it's either your Ign. Module or you PCM.
With mine, my RPMs would shoot up when I stepped on the gas but the engine would bog down and I would have NO POWER. Took a Long time just to get to 50 MPH.
Coils are $50 each, About! Unless you are an Electronics Geek like me, All you really need to replace is the Bad Coil!
