02 Brake Light issues

02 Brake Light issues

My daughter has a 2002 Monte Carlo with a brake light issue. Brake light switch works normally with ignition off but when ignition is turned on brakes lights stay on all the time. Switch tests good. What could I be overlooking?

relay went short to voltage maybe?!?

Sounds like a body control module.
