Exclamation EMERGENCY!! Help!!

The other day, my battery just died in my '87 Monte SS. I replaced it with a brand new battery from AutoZone and the voltage gauge was still reading low. I thought the gauge was just incorrect, but apparently not because my car died today and a simple jump-off got it started back up.

The screws are very rusty, so I'm thinking rusty screws or the cables that run to the battery are defective.

Someone please help me out.

Jump-offs get me going, but that won't cut it.

Is it a top post or side post?

If its a side post replace the terminal screws..(They pop in and out)
Besure to clean out all the corrosion!

if its a top post....
Replace the battery terminal connectors....
