I just replaced the EGR Value due to it going bad, I then got these codes


P0403B - Exhaust Gas recirculation Solenoid Circuit

and

P0404B - Exhaust gas recirculation open position performance.

already tried cleaning EGR port with sea foam deep creep no fix. I unhooked the PCM to check for any damage on the harnesses or the board itself nothing looked burnt or damaged/ bent



2001 Monte Carlo SS 3.8 L V6 LE

Any thoughts as to fixing ? I'm stumped.

Bad EGR I'm guessing. I have a few lying around I could sell you if you want to give that a shot.

 

how much we lookin at? I've been told bad PCM due to the circuit code.. A number of things could be effed

 

So you replaced the EGR, and now you're getting the codes? If so, unplug the battery and let the PCM reset, then see if the codes come back up.

 

I replaced the EGR Value, not the hole EGR . I have cleared the codes with a scanner before and they came right back on its a hard fault

 

Wait, what is an EGR value?

And I dunno, $30 shipped for one sound fair?
