yeah actuall you can do it but it will take ya a month of sundays to get it all done.

Seem GM got smart LOL

you have to take the solinoid out from under the hood and when looking at it like it was pluged in you have to splice the two wires on the right side. togeather but not threw the solinoid. to jump the action of it.

then you have a wire that comes off the switch in the dash it is a trigger wire. that will triger the low beams to act as your dlrs if the high beams are bad or out.

so you have to disconect it also

when you get all this done you should have no DLRS

so Thsi is the conclution i came to is do the same tign as TVM it is easier thent eh rest and you dont risk a fire from jumping the solinoid

also easy to fix later if you sell teh car. you will ahve to reenabel them or at least explin how to do it for the new owner.

Sorry guys this is the only way to stop current goign to the DLS ciruit
this is from a guy who workd on the eletrical systems on GM and Ford cars.
so i feel he is a pretty good sorce.

but if you want to try doing it get a wire digram and you will see what im talking about with the wires and where they are located on it.
IF my scanner was goign righ now i would scan the wire diogram he did the changes on so you could see it.

it doesn't really sound like alot of work, what was the hardest/most time consuming part of it? Getting the wire behind the dash?

tvm, this is why i just put a peice of tape over the sensor on mine . I had some smal round punch outs that fit it and worked so they wernt all over the dash ont he car but did the trick. I will be doing more perm fix when i do the guages.

but yeah way o much work for this just nt worth it.

Uh,you can shut off your drl's by following the directions in your owners manual, via the driver information system, I believe it displays on the radio. It controls several functions, inluding cabin illumination, door lock/unlock strategy, drl's, keyless entry settings, exit/entry lighting settings, etc.... I will post the instructions on turning off the drl's in a new post tonight.

Check out www.naioa.com to obtain a kit on disconnecting the drls and auto/on headlights. Trust me, it works!!! The user name at this site is : bbengineer who is selling it. i believe it is $75 and it plugs directly into the cars wiring harness. It should work on 2000 - 2005 Impalas and Monte Carlos
