Dies sometimes when running

Default Dies sometimes when running

I have a 2000 ss 3.8. Sometimes it will die after it has been running for a little while ( 10 or 15 min).when it dies its a lil hard to start back not bad just aggervating.runs good besides that

How long have you had the car? How many miles are on it? When was your last tune-up / servicing? How do you think the fuel filter is? Was it ever replaced? Are you popping any codes? Etc... etc...

We are going to need more information to even think about throwing some ideas your way.

I had the same problem on my 97... i know its not the same engine but it ended up being the spark plug gap being to big from lack of being changed, after I changed them.... no problems! Im not saying that is your issue but its something to check....

Bad MAF sensor is also a possible problem.

Hey guys thanks for all the info...i had thought of the maf sensor,but the spark plug gap never entered my mind...and the car has 161000 miles on it it had 60000 when i got it fuel fillter is ok and no codes so far. thanks again
