Default Car stereo problems

Hey everyone, I was on my way to class this morning when I noticed after track #3 on my CD, it wouldn't play. It was a burned disc so I assumed it was just a bad cd. I bought a brand new CD that came out today after class. I proceeded to play it and after track #1 it started skipping and then Track #4 to #11 wouldn't play at all, but #12 and #13 worked just fine. The radio works just fine and I didn't have this issue yesterday. Is my CD player going bad? I can't tear it apart for a couple weeks because I have no garage here, so please tell me some good news

Dust/dirt on a sensor?

When I got my 06 Monte the CD player would not work - it refused to load any CD. In my quest to fix things cheap I got another (free) dead Chevy car stereo to salvage the player mechanicals from.

Sad story is that they were not the same inside.

Happy story is that I put it back together with the original parts, blew out the dust and put it back in and it now works. Since it is an MP3 player unit it's purty good.
