I have an 03 Monte ls. I tried to hook up a Kenwood stereo, but it would not get power. I checked all of my wires multiple times, and they are all right. I touched the ACC wire to the power wire and it turned on, but no sound would come through the speakers. I was told that my factory amp could prevent the stereo from working, but i'm not sure. Any ideas?

 

Either run new speaker wire from speakers to head unit or buy a bypass harness for the factory amp or get the wiring schematic and cut and splice them yourself
