Default 2000 monte carlo 3.8l missfire

Hi guys hope u guys can help me .. I have a 2000 monte carlo ss I have been getting the p0303 missfire cylinder 3 code. I changed the plugs , wire , #3 power coil and still get the missfire code. Driving down the road the car run great. When sitting at the light the car shakes from the missfire. As soon as I give it gas the car run great ... What else can I check before buying new injectors .. The car has 100,000 on it.....My wife also like to drive the car but hates putting gas in it so she drive it dry(sucking the **** out of the bottom of the tank Im sure) It seems to run rough while in idle and in park Thanks again in ADVANCE !!!!

New injector or injector connector. Probably the connector. I have a few injectors laying around I could sell you one cheap if you want to try that out. But I am almost positive its the actual connector wire.

Could also be possibly the IAC (Idle air control)... I suggest giveing it a through cleaning...along with the TPS (throttle position sensor)...
Id even do the MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor) while your at it with those kind of miles on it...
It cant hurt!
Maybe someone else will chime in with more recommendations/suggestions.

throw in a bottle of lucas injector cleaner If gunk was sucked up from the tank, it may just be clogged. Also wouldn't hurt to change the fuel filter too if she does it often. If particles are passing to your injectors its a sure sign it needs a change.

fuel filter is located right under the driver door. Jack the car up & its right there.

Your friend might be thinking of a fuel pump.

Actually, the fuel filter is located at the rear of the vehicle near the fuel tank.

As suggested, I'd check/clean the injector connectors and run a bottle of high detergent injector cleaner (like Chevron Techron Plus) through the system and see if the misfire clears up. If not, you may need to replace the injector.

ok thanks every one for all the help .. I bought the lucas cleaner , Mass air flow cleaner and a new fuel filter I plan on checking all the conection on the injectors also .. But while at autozone they gave me the firing order for the coils and I noticed that mine is different... they are claiming 6-3 are the closest to the fire wall.... in my 2000 monte carlo 3800 6-3 is in the middle of the two other coil packs ... can someone tell me where the 6-3 coil is suppose to be thanks !!!!
