cabin air filter

Your '05 SHOULD have a cabin air filter. To get to it:
- Turn on the wipers and turn off the car when they are pointing straight up (should keep them out of your way).
- Looking at the cowl cover under the windsheild, you should have a "split" cowl cover (it's 2 pieces instead of one long one).
- On the passenger side, you have to remove a bunch of plastic push rivets/pins/holders (they are re-usable). Remove them around the passenger half of the cowl cover.
- Lift the cover off and there it should be (unless someone removed it).

Odd that GM would have changed that on the '05 Monte (the shop book also notates a split cowl). Regardless of split cowl or one piece cowl, the cabin air filter is still there.

Odd that GM would have changed that on the '05 Monte (the shop book also notates a split cowl). Regardless of split cowl or one piece cowl, the cabin air filter is still there.
