Angry brakes dragging

So did a brake pad change on my 98 monte and when i went to put the caliper back it now drags on the passenger side. I tried backing out the bolts so it wouldnt drag but lost one and almost lost the other one (it was dangling) so i buy new bolts put them on and tighten the bolts down too much im assuming so it still drags what am i doing wrong the other side works fine no problem can some one guide me please

Tried backing out what bolts? You left braking system bolts loose to keep the caliper from dragging?

Did you grease the slide bolts? If you did, then the caliper may be going bad- getting hung up.

You definitely aren't supposed to leave bolts loose though- everything should be torqued like normal.

i do have a question was it hard for that poticular caliper to push in the pistons? if it was a little hard it also a sign of some thing going wrong as in needing to be replaced.
