hey guys, new to forum. im working on my buddies 03ss after someone put a heator core in a couple of weeks ago he started having battery issues. i pulled the car in our shop and pulled the dash back out to see if i could find a short but havent had any luck. after i put the car back togher i noticed that even with the ignition off the battery symbol shows up on message board and shift selector is still lit on dash. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

It sounds to me like the ignition switch may be faulty.

 

For whatever reason the cluster is staying powered up. Whether its the ign switch, BCM, etc.

 

I would check all RMS Wires
