Battery Died
I had my 06 SS parked in the garage for about 10 days and when I went to use it yesterday, the battery was dead.I charged it up overnight, but it goes in to the dealer tomorrow.A battery should last longer than 16 months in my opinion.Maybe something is draining it slowly.............hopefully they check it out.

RE: Battery Died
i think this seems to be a pretty common problem on that gen monte, haven't had any problems with mine or heard of any on the 00-05 monte's..but i think thats about the 5 or 6th time i've heard of one on the 06-07 monte's

RE: Battery Died
That's what happened to my 06 SS, they changed the trans module and battery, itwent dead over the weekend, they finally found the body module was not powering down the input to the trans module, Changed the body control module all has been good since.

I had that happen too, but my problem was due to how the CD changer in the truck was wired. We re wired it and I haven't had the battery die from sitting anymore.

RE: Battery Died
Well, the dealership checked out my car yesterday and said the battery tested bad.12.5 volts and 220 cranking amps.Everything else looked OK.So they put a new one in under warranty.
They gave me a Saab 9 3 turbofor a loaner car. They have some unusual features, like the ignition switch in the console. There is a neat info center on the top of the dash in the middle that is neat. You don't have to take your eyes off the road to see radio stations and all.The dealership sells Chevrolet,Saab,Hummer,Chrysler,Mazda and Volvo.so that is how I wound up with a Saab.
