Both our '81 and '86 Montes have the remove pass side outside mirror on them.

I believe you have to unscrew the bezel on the dash to get the adjuster **** to come loose. Once loose you should be able to pull the adjuster cable for the mirror through the dash, "A" pillar, and eventually through the door so the mirror can be removed.

There may be another way to remove the mirror, but to me I sure don't want to have to leanr how to re-attach the 4 cables should they get loose.

Ya it looks like I will just do the extra work and unbolt everything. I was trying to do a quick flip with this car but its turning into a prject lol anyone know the best place for weather stripping, the original ss stickers, pinstriping and im gonna need some interior. Thx for all the help. I might use year one but they are a lil pricey but good quality.

On the 1/4 glass windows that panel will have to come out. Some of the skrews are hidden. So take your time. The seat belt bolt requires a T45 or T50 socket to get it out. The window its self should have 2 brackets and mayby a couple plastic clips. Those are the easy parts. Now You gotta get the glass free from the tar like seal. In side that seal is a little string. It helps if you can get ahold of the string and pull it out. Im not sure why the string is there but it makes getting the window out easyer. The window will probley feel pretty solid still but with help from a heat gun and a friend you can heat it up from the inside and ur buddy can lightly push till its out.
Make sure to give your buddy some gloves or he will cry about how his little fingers are getting hot.
Also make sure your buddy dont get excited and push to hard. Or youll get a broke window and a face full of glass.

Oh yeah! if you got a extra set of glass the easy way is to punch out the old and clean up the mess.
Also dont get that tar seal on your interior panels or seats. Its hell to get off

I usually hit up Mike @ Mike's Montes for stuff like this. Mike isn't too far from me so I can drive to his house if I want.

There's also Dixie Monte Carlo Depot for parts.

Both places have web sites.
