88 monte mirror removal?? plz help!!
So I picked up a nice 1 owner well maintaned 88 monte ss all original w/105,000mi. It was my old lady neighbors car driven to work and back everyday. Got the car for 1000$ now ive started stripping it and I can't figure out how to take the passenger side mirror out. I really dont want to rip the dash apart but that looks like the only way. Such a stupid setup. If anyone knows an easier way please let me know thanks for your time.

I took the door panels off and you are correct it is 2 bolts, but the cable for the mirror holds the mirror in place still, and the cable runs all the way to the drivers side dash to adjust the mirror. Im trying to take the mirror completely off but the cable is still holding it in place and it will not detatch from the mirror itself. It will be a bitch to try and paint with the mirror dangling off the side of the car. So im hoping im missing something and some one can point me in the right direction other wise I will have to rip the dash out and disconnect the cable from the mirror adjuster, (what a BYTCH!!)

That cable runs behind your sterio and glove box. Where is the end located? Im thinking its in the panel that houses the gauges. That panel comes out fairly easy. You might have to remove the panel under the steering colum to get to all the skrews.

Ya it runs into the dash to the right of the steering wheel. Hey bobb how did you get the rear side windows out? Do they have screws from the inside because I could not get them to pull out either. Im trying not to rip the interior apart. This project is taking too much work already. lol

acess to it then, i'd take a pic of mine becuase i have it off but it's kinda dark... as for the quarter glass you have to remove the trim panel and there is some nuts that hold it in
