Default 77 Monte Brake Booster Options

I've recently converted to a Big Block in my 77 MC. I'm having trouble with valve cover to Brake Booster clearance. Are there any after market brake boosters that are at least 1 inch smaller in diameter that will work?

Welcome to the Forum...

Depending on where you live...You can either check at your local Auto Scrap yard and see if they would know.... Or contact a local Chevrolet dealer that may be able to let you know whats interchangeable with your Model and Year.

What motor was in it? and what motor are you putting in it?

350 Small Block (ZZ4) removed

505 Custom Built Big Block with large valve covers.

The valve covers clear by about an inch but there no room for the 2" breather that has to go there. I'm hoping there's a 9" Dual diaphragm setup that fits.

Small block equipped vehicles use an 11" diameter booster and big block vehicles use a 9" diameter booster. You'll need to replace the booster in order to gain clearance for the valve cover.

Thanks guys. I did a little research and found there were 2 types of boosters used. The 11" is a Delco unit (which I have) and the 9" Bendix unit (which I am ordering). This should work, I'll keep everyone posted in case someone else gets into the same situation.
