HI, I"m sorry to bother you guys.
1. I wonder if there is any danger in my reservoir being two inches above the 'hot' line when it's cold. I didn't overfull it myself. Do I need to somehow drain it?
2. Does air in the system truly bubble to the surface as I've been advised? If not, I need to bleed it.
3. Does it matter if the radiator cap has been forced on with the arrow not lining up? In my imagination it leaks, and I've not got the grip to turn it around when it's like this..yet I can remove it when the Arrow lines up.

Thank you.
1. That can be a common thing I wouldn't worry about that unless it gets really full.
2. I am giving another video for this one
3. Most likely what has happened when the radiator cap is not seated flush and then it is tightened it will leak and it is difficult to get off, so If you can put a channel lock plyer on it with a rag around the cap so you don't scare it up. loosen it and re-seat the cap with the arrows lining up and it should work.

Thank you! I watched it and it is a great help. I was told it was vacuum bled again yesterday when I meekly asked if they'd bled it.
They were gona R&R but changed their minds while I was gone. At least this shows me to let it run with the heat all the way up. They told me the purpose was to prove there were no leaks, however. I seriously doubt they watched that gauge during the hour they ran it, they'd taken it outside the shop and brought it back in to go over the lines and the radiator itself. They'd removed the fans in order to see it more clearly.
He backed it out to show me the oil lost while it was sitting inside after running it an hour outside.
It comes straight from the center front of the oil pan and he assured me it was not transaxle oil as that is pink.
It wasn't pink when they had it in a pan for the R&R, but I was scared to death to say that. I am defeated.
Told me head gasket and sent me away with more cardboard.
I don't have anyone big and scary.
I don't have channel locks.
My tongue is sweet and burnt from tasting this morning's puddle. I"m sure they wish I'd drink the whole jug.
Let me tell you about the head gasket experience. You can't drive more than a mile or so with out it overheating. If you are driving the 8 miles home that I thought you indicated earlier and it didn't overheat then it is not a head gasket yet.
My car was an 06 Torrent like an Equinox and it would over heat all the time. I did everything before I did the head gaskets. Once I did that they were good no more getting hot.
If you could have stayed with the Car until they finished that might have been a good thing. But if you have to work then it is not an option.
Crown tastes better and the side effects are only a hang over.
The trans fluid will look like the picture I am attaching.
this is what the Transmission fluid looks like.
Here Red handle on the rear right side as your looking at it.
is a shot of a 3800 motor with no oil cap but in the back is the red handle that you can chek your Trans fluid with.
Thank you, the tranny oil in the pan during the R&R looked like the dirty stuff.
I'll pull the stick and see if it's as bad there, I know that my regular motor oil is clean, I guarntee when they told me was motor oil was dirty tranny oil.
Crown it great, but so expensive.
I've got antifreeze on hand.
I got lost because I promised I would, I'd much rather have stayed with the car.
