Default 2003 Front Sway Bar

The end broke off on mine. The sway bar itself, not the link. I've never had that happen on a car even with 300,000 miles on it.
Is this common in Monte Carlos?

Havnt heard anyone on this site ever mention breaking a sway bar. It's not a common problem on any car to be exact but if you can do the labor it can be a cheap fix after a visit to your local junk yard.

The bar cracking is somewhat common and somewhat not. It's a w-body platform car (Monte, Grand Prix, Regals, Impalas, Centuries and I'm sure I'm missing one or two). Probably 1-2 people per platform have had it happen. My dad's '98 Grand Prix did it and my ex-wife's Impala just did it.

The sway bars on these cars are hollow, that is part of the reason (rots from the inside out). Unless you can get a cherry looking junk yard one, I'd order this guy, as it's an upgraded sway bar (we did it fro my dad's Grand Prix because I was going to be at the local Summit Racing and that was the cheapest replacement since I could save us the shipping).
