Exclamation 2000 Monte LS Cranks but won't start ( PLEASE HELP)

I have a 2000 monte carlo ls. Frequently but randomly it won't start. Most times when I turn the key to the on position I notice the fuel guage is on E regardless of how much gas is actually in the tank. Sometimes the gas gauge works. The security and battery light blink back a forth. When I turn the key it turns over but won't start. Sometimes it will kinda start (for a split second) but just dies. If I leave the key in the on position and don't try to start it the dashboard LCD gear display go's away (the LCD mileage display stays). I recently had the key and ignition replaced because that was also acting up (where the car wouldn't turn over at all, accompanied by the security light). I could really use some help here. I want to narrow down the possibilities of what is wrong. I've been told that it is a possible bcm issue.

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

@kgerowsun - This thread is over a year old and the original poster only posted once (and it was to start this thread). I advise starting a fresh thread about your situation.
