hi,
I bought a 2000 monte carlo like a month ago everything wuz fine untill the other day when I tried to crank the car and it wouldnt start (it cranks over it just doesnt catch) well I thoght it wuz the fuel pump I tried sum starting fluid in the throttle body still nothing...what could it be?? AM very angry because I didnt even get to enjoy my car now it wont even start plz help

 

Could be a lot of things going on. Do you know if:
- You have any active check engine codes?
- Are you getting spark?

Without more info, could be:
- Bad ICM (Ignition Control Module), easy to remove, most parts stores can bench test it
- Failed fuel pump
- Hopefully, you have gas in the car and no fuel line leaks (I know it sounds silly, but sometimes the easy things are overlooked OR you are believing a bad fuel gauge)
- Bad sensor or sensor wiring

If you are able to find if there are active codes, those help narrow things down.
