Default 2000 Monte Carlo no crank after engine swap

Hello all,
I have a 2000 Monte Carlo 3.8L that we did an engine swap on and when we went to turn it over for the first time, it won't crank. We can get it to crank by supplying power directly to the starter, but the key won't turn it over. One issue we think we may have is the location of the ground wire on the radiator housing. Where does it attach?

Any other things to check for?

Thanks for the help!

I think you maybe on the right track with the ground wire. I would check all the grounds to make sure they are good and not corroded and have the proper contact.
Then check the fuses and relays to make sure when you hooked the power back up you didn't fry something. There is a trick to reconecting the battery also.
Good luck with this it is probably something very simple that will take awhile to find.

Fuses are all checked and all the grounds have been checked as well. The only suspect ground is the radiator harness. Do you know where the ground wire attaches to the radiator harness? the guy that took it off doesn't remember where it was connected. What's the battery trick??
