2001 monte Carlo no crank
Hi so I'm just about stumped on what to do to get my monte going. First off the odm connector is disconnected. Not sure if that will cause it to not crank. First problem we had was with the ignition cylinder, the key wouldn't turn in the cylinder. We decided to replace that and got a new ignition switch to go with it. We put those in and got lights back on the dash but no crank when we turned the key to start. We tried to arc the starter with cables to see if we could get it to crank that way and the starter would spin but not extend to engage the flywheel. Next we checked the wiring from the ignition all the wires were fine except for the one which runs to the ignition crank fuse. We have continuity from the fuse to the wire but when we try Rio start the car no power is going through. I can't figure out what would cause this. If anyone has any advice on something I could try I would appreciate it greatly.

could it be a faulty starter since its not engaging the flywheel?,check all grounds, theres on on the transmission right above the starter, then theres one for the fuse box right under it to the side and the battery groung should be on the front of the block
