1999 lumina rear disk calipers
my son replaced his rear calipers with rebuilds from autozone. problem is he can't figure out how the bolts hold the calipers onto the brackets. i looked at it yesterday and the calipers have 1 mounting hole that goes completely through the caliper for mounting but the other hole has a cap on the end. short of buying a repair book can anyone assist us please.....Regards.....Tom
Hello Tom,
Caliper's generally have two bolts that hold it to the caliper bracket. In general, they also should run through some sort of an protective rubber boot to keep all the junk out of the slide area of the bolt. If you have the means, post a picture of the cap you mentioned. Is the cap plastic?
