06 starter long cranks

06 starter long cranks
Hi, recently bought an 06 MC LT with a 3.9L V6. It doesn't happen often or anything, but a few times when I try to start the car it will crank for a long time, even if the engine starts and whether I continue to or not. It stops when I retrun the key to the off postion and starts fine afterward. It's happened after sitting overnight and after sitting for 10-15 minutes.
Is this common or a problem? thanks

RE: 06 starter long cranks
Hi T, Welcome to the MCF. I also have an 06 LT3 w/3.9.
You stated in your report that it cranks for a long time ? What is a long time ?
There are several members on the forum that have 06 Monte's & I haven't
heard or read any post in reference to this problem.
I would take it back to the dealer & have them check it. Suggestion: If
you have a recording device, I would record the long starting time &
let the service manager listen to it. Good Luck. Keep the members informed
of the cause/solution to your problem.
Give us a reveiw of your Monte. What color, etc. I hope that you post
some pic's. Safe/Happy miles to U
