I installed Stattama's stage 3 CSC kit from ZZP, which requires a reprogrammed PCM, new injectors and fuel rail in addition to the base kit. I'm waiting for a response on this problem but wanted to post here to see if anyone else has had a similar problem. I sent my PCM in so they could copy it to a new one and modify that one so I could have the option of switching back to my original if I wanted. At first the car would not even try to start (no sound but some clicks and the fuel pump). I performed the 30 minute security relearn and after that the car would crank over but not start. I put the old PCM in and the car starts. Then I shut off the car and swiched to the new PCM and the car started with it. I let the car get up to temperature and shut it off. Then after about 2 minutes I tried to start it again and it wouldn't start, it just cranks and cranks but doesn't give any signs of starting. I have done this a few times already and the car has always started with the old PCM, usually stalling out quickly the first 2-3 attemps. It has never started or even had a chance to stall with the new PCM unless I switch to the new one after having started it with the old one.

Could this be some kind of security issue with the new PCM?

Had the very similair issue with a friends 04 grand am after putting a new performance pcm in it. It would go through the learn programming mode and start and run, but once you shut it off and restart it wouldnt start at all. Id say send it back. Never have gotten a chance to mess with my friends again, kidna got me curious , but id be saying its safe to bet its the pcm.
