My check engine light came on, went and had it diagnosed. Took it to mechanic they said they needed to replace the Evap Solinoid valve. I got the car back, now my car seems more quiet. Is this a result of the changing of this valve?

 

I've had the evap replaced on my 02 gran prix gt and on a 05 silverado i had but never really noticed a difference after replacing them
